TRANSFORMERS

INTRODUCTION

TransformerEXPERT transformers have a modular design for easy installation - this also allows the active parts to be embedded into the casting resin. This guarantees high resistance to the electro-dynamic forces mainly occurring in welding operations - as well as to external influences, such as contamination and mechnical loads.

Our tranformers feature:

  • Resistance welding techniques
  • Heating engineering
  • Electroplating technology

In the field of high-current processors, modular transformers with high power density need to be installed as a power source, as close as possible to the part to be welded - or to the heating resistors in order to avoid high secondary side feed line losses.

The compact design is achieved by direct water cooling of the secondary windings and the utilisation of C-cores out of grain oriented sheet metal (Heating transformers with higher secondary voltage have indrect cooling).

With rectification on the secondary side, EXPERT transformers can be combined into single-phase and three-phase transformer-rectifier units. The most important innovations are optimum weight, medium frequency transformer-rectifiers for operation at static frequencies.
