Index drives suitable for supporting rotary tables require a large
heavy duty output bearing to provide a rigid mounting and cater
for the required load carrying capacity. Expert UK offers two ranges
of small to medium sized units suitable for these types of applications.
The ERD range consists of two sizes employing lightweight Aluminium
housings. Both units are offered with optional geared motor drive
packs with integral torque limiters in the worm gear reducers.
The EGD range offers six sizes of unit all using heavy-duty cast
iron housings for additional rigidity and torque capability. All
sizes can be fitted with quality geared motor drive systems suitable
for either index on demand or continuous drive applications.
Various standard cam programs are available offering different
ratios of motion to dwell for one complete input shaft rotation.
Specials can be engineered on request.
Mechanical or Inductive switch arrangements can be supplied on
request fitted to the indexer to give appropriate signals for position
and end of index.
