Expert Tooling and Automation Products is the offical UK distributor for Expert Tunkers GmbH and Expert Transformers GmbH in the UK, both companies were fomally part of the Expert Maschinenbau GmbH Group. The UK distribution business for Expert products was originally founded in 1991, and run by its General Manager Angelo Luciano, it was set up to support the growing success of Expert product sales in the UK.

The company has enjoyed consistent growth in the large indexer market with major involvement with some of the leading automobile manufacturers. In the special purpose machine sector similar growth has been achieved supplying a comprehensive range of indexing drives to a cross section of industry. The comprehensive range of smaller index drives available from EXPERT ensure that virtually all enquiries are successfully filled with a practical, reliable and cost effective drive package backed up with sound customer application assistance and after sales support.

Since its inception, the UK operation has seen steady and sustained growth culminating in a recent move to a new purpose built facility on the west side of Coventry. To compliment the supply of index drives a comprehensive engineering design and manufacture service is available capable of supplying simple dial plates to complete machines.

Expert Maschinenbau was originally founded in 1961 in association with Expert Inc. in Detroit. In 2006 after 45 years of consistant growth and success the companies seperate divisions were sold to new partners with a view to taking the businesses to the next level under new ownership.
